This Mother’s Day, we invite junior artists in Fine Art & Public Speaking to embark on a unique 4-lesson art curriculum project. This project explores the universal themes of motherhood and love, reflecting not just in our families but also beautifully represented in nature.
Discovering Love Through Nature
This inquiry-based art project uses powerful animal metaphors. These metaphors help children understand and appreciate how love, care, and nurturing are evident all around us. For example, consider how a mother elephant fiercely protects her calf. Think about how a bird tirelessly feeds her chicks or how lionesses band together to raise their young.
Children will engage in thought-provoking discussions and keen observations. They will be guided to:
Choose an animal that embodies their view of motherhood
Reflect on the various forms of love in relationships
Express gratitude for their mothers, grandmothers, and aunts through nature
Artistic Techniques Unveiled
