Artistori's SOTA & Visual Arts DSA Portfolio Assessment & Guidance Session is a personalised programme designed for primary school students aspiring to gain admission to the School of the Arts (SOTA) or a secondary school through the Direct School Admission (DSA) – Visual Arts pathway.

A successful portfolio goes beyond beautiful artwork—it demonstrates artistic potential, creativity, curiosity, technical ability, and a distinctive personal voice. Our experienced art educators assess your child's current strengths and provide expert guidance on how to build a portfolio that aligns with the expectations of school admissions panels.

Whether your child is exploring the Visual Arts pathway for the first time or already has an existing body of work, this bespoke assessment provides valuable insights and a clear development plan tailored to their individual goals.

Your Child Will Receive

Session Details

Fees: $80++

Available Sessions: Monday or Friday afternoons

Assessment Includes (Approx. 2 Hours)

• Technical Skills Assessment — approx. 40 minutes

• Creative Thinking & Idea Development Assessment — approx. 40 minutes

• Presentation & Portfolio Skills Assessment — 10 minutes

• Complimentary Portfolio Review & Parent Consultation — Up to 30 minutes If your child already has an art portfolio, we will review it during the consultation and provide professional feedback, together with practical recommendations to strengthen future submissions for SOTA and Visual Arts DSA applications.
