Coffee Tea & Me

Artists have used coffee and tea in their works since ancient times. From chinese artists incorporating tea into their paintings to create sepia tones to the Japanese artists’ usage of tea in their traditional manuscripts, coffee and tea are some of the most available unconventional art supplies out there. Painting with coffee and tea is an all encompassing sensory experience, being a great way of expression that allows us to appreciate it by not just sight but also smell and texture. 

Through the use of unorthodox mediums in art, our young artists are encouraged to innovate and be creative. Technical skills such as contour drawing, shading and painting will also be demonstrated through their creation of a self portrait. 

Materials Needed

Instant Black Coffee, Tea Bags, Water, Paintbrushes, Kitchen Towels or Toilet Roll, A4 Paper, Glue, Mirror, 3-4 small cups, Pencil and Eraser.

Duration

• 1 hour 30 minutes per session
• 4 sessions in total to complete
• Held once every week
• From the week of 1st June 2021 until 27th June 2021 only

• Thursday 10.00am to 11.30am
• Saturday 10.00am to 11.30am
• Any other suggested timings with 8 or more participants joining

How to join?

• Existing regular customers can utilize 2 lesson credits to join this online art workshop competition.
• Old or New customers without existing lesson credits need to purchase tickets.
• Upon registration, booking or purchase of tickets, we will be in touch with you to arrange the timeslots.
• Minimum 8 participants per timeslot to commence.

Competition Rules

• Photo of artwork must be taken on a white background
• Send photo over to Artisori via email
• Artistori will confirm final version by watermarking photo
• Public voting period will be from 28th June to 4th July 2021.
• Cut off time is strictly 4th July 2021 11.59pm.
• Results will be announced on 8th July 2021 via EDM, Social Media and on our website.
